Risk assessments (yay!)

Things to keep in mind:

  • Consider people and the dumb stuff that they may do
  • You need an at least 1 metre walkway that’s clear ( I feel like there is some fun to be had here)
  • clear exits etc
  • tape down wires
  • have invigilators to tell people not to be stupid
  • fire exits labelled
  • PAT tested electronics
  • Is training needed for me to carry it out? for people who are helping? Do you need an expert to help?
  • Is protective clothing needed for you, the public or the performers?
  • Do you have adequate lifting gear?

Give risk assessments to hosts, leaders, important or relevant people

oh and keep one for yourself

oh and make sure it’s signed by everyone that needs to sign it.
